Maker of sounds
A work in progress: a live performance in which modular synthesiser, guitar and field recordings are reinterpreted at the end of the chain through granular synthesis, with video projection generated in real time.

The project
ΠΡΑΞΕΔ — “maker of sounds” — is the name under which Guillaume Milochau plays his music. Music is understood as a transduction system: a protocol for transmitting signals at the edge of the perceptible.
The set is built entirely from Mutable Instruments modules — hence the “mutablism” of praxed.art: MARBLES (controlled chance), STAGES (time), TIDES (modulation), BRAIDS (synthesis), EARS (listening), RIPPLES (filtering), BEADS (granulation).
The practice was shaped in particular by three months of training with Sarah Belle Reid: one recording a day, the best of which are freely available on SoundCloud.
